Emotions:Another type of Intelligence
In our society, the emotional person is considered weak. People see him/her as a taboo and scattered person. But they forget that we all are having emotions, we are human beings. Emotions exist in our behaviour because they are important for us. According to psychologists, the emotions plays a very crucial role to live life happily and cherishful. But the important thing is, how we mould our emotions?How we use them? Do we allow them to run our life? Doe we allow them to overpower our thoughts?
Emotional intelligence is one of the most important aspect which sometimes we neglect knowingly or unknowingly. We generally focus only on IQ and forget about emotional intelligence. The people with emotions is considered as weak in society, but the people with Emotional intelligence is considered as role model in society and people praise that person.
Being emotional is not bad, but not able to use our emotions in right way is a weakness. So, the weakness is not in being emotional, its in making the decision for how to use that emotion. In a research it was found that the person who have good IQ and good emotional intelligence (Able to use emotions in right way) are successful in life. Everyone as different meaning of success for them, here by successful i mean living a happy, healthy life and achieved their goals in life.
The biggest problem faced by world today is Judgement. The habit of judging the person we saw him/her for the first time. Even we don't know about him/her, the life he/she is living, about their past ( because the small things make our personality). When we take birth, we all are equal. Then the environment we live, our nourishment and culture mould our personality. Many people believe that once the person get certain personality, it cannot be changed. But it's wrong, we can change our personality, our way of living the moment we want from the core of heart. Only thing needed is :determination, dedication and devotion.
The person who knows how to use the emotions, when to give priority to emotions over thinking, is the one who live happily. He is the one who doesn't see the negative emotions as negative, he took the positive from that and worked accordingly. We all have emotions, some are good and some are bad (by bad i mean not good for health) like anger, short temperedness, loneliness etc. We can find numerous ways in internet how to improve our emotional intelligence. But is it so easy? No, it is not. Because if it has been so easy then there would have been no crimes, breakdowns, relationship breakups and war in world.
There is a law of nature that we must have to sacrifice in order to gain something good. The one who is able to do it, become the master of his/her emotions and thoughts. The one cannot, struggle whole life. We are living in technical world, we have so many distractions and ways to run away from truth which are very easy. Whenever we felt bad or emotional breakdown, we try to replace that incident by some other instead of trying to find what goes wrong and improve on gray areas. One reason we do that is , to analyze and accept our mistakes need courage and self-confidence, which is there in everyone of us, but we don't realize it. And go for the easy way.
There is a great saying which i read in a poem 9th class, "if winter comes, then spring will not be far behind". It's good to be emotional, it's ok to have breakdowns because these incidents make us strong and give energy for rebounce if we analyze them and use them in good way courageously. According to physics also, the faster the ball hit the ground, it will have high rebound velocity. So, use emotional intelligence in a positive way and make worth from every incident.
